Services
Associated Sleep Services is a Sleep Disorder
Screening center. Advances in technology enable us to provide
first-line diagnostics to assist your physician in confirming a
diagnosis of a sleep disorder.
Because you do not have to wait for a bed at an
overnight sleep clinic, you can be diagnosed much more quickly. The
sooner you are diagnosed, the sooner you can be treated.
If you were to access our services, we would
first do a complete Sleep history and assessment to determine what
may be causing your sleep problem. We would provide you with a
report with evidence for your specific disorder and your physician
could then confirm the diagnosis and prescribe treatment.
If more evidence was needed, we would undertake
one or more of a number of simple diagnostics that you would
complete at home while you slept.
If you are plagued by insomnia, we are usually
able to make some recommendations for you to discuss with your
health care provider. We also provide insomnia case management and
educational groups.
A variety of sleep promoting products are also
available.
You can access our services by calling for an
appointment or by referral from your physician. Note that this is a
private center and services are paid by the individual at the time
of service.
If you are not getting the sleep you need because
you may have a sleep disorder and you really want to be healthy and
rested, call Associated Sleep Services and we’d be happy to help you
get the sleep you need.
Sleep History/Assessment
This is where we start to find out what your sleep problem is and
determine the avenues for diagnosis and treatment. We provide you
(or your physician) with a report so that a diagnosis can be
confirmed and treatment undertaken. This assessment requires
approximately 1 hour.
Computerized Sleep Disorder Screening
If you don’t wish to start with a complete assessment, but want some
initial information regarding any sleep disorders you may have, we
offer a computerized screening service. This requires approximately
20 minutes.
Sleep Disorder Testing
(Sleep Apnea, Restless Legs, Insomnia)
If the assessment suggests that you may be suffering with a sleep
disorder, tests may be required to provide evidence of the disorder
or indicate severity of the disorder. We provide you with the
equipment you need to complete the test while you sleep at home. We
provide you (or your physician) with the test results so that a
diagnosis can be confirmed and treatment undertaken.
Insomnia Management
Solving the sleep problems of those who have difficulty falling
asleep or staying asleep requires an extended period applying
several interventions either simultaneously or consecutively. We
assist you in this process so that you can more easily achieve your
sleep goals. This service provides for 3 – 30 minute sessions after
the initial assessment, either by phone or in person.
Insomnia Group
Those who have difficulty falling asleep or staying asleep benefit
from learning about sleep and strategies that would help them get
the sleep they need. We offer 3 – 90 minute weekly group sessions.
